What is it about?
For the first time, Poland’s “Central Communication Port” (CPK) project is being presented to Belgian businesses. This mega-project, costing over 30 billion euros, includes a brand-new airport at the heart of the country, a new high-speed rail network converging near the airport, and a convention centre. Franciszek Łabno, Deputy Director for International Cooperation at the CPK Government Agency, will present the project in hub.brussels’ offices. He will explain his methodology of running calls for tenders, and will also answer questions from businesses. He will be accompanied by Nicolas Nève, our General Representative in Poland, who will present the economic context surrounding the project. Discussions will continue over a networking lunch hosted by hub.brussels.
- Poland is the biggest beneficiary of European cohesion funds, with distribution being stepped up since the end of 2023 (EUR 20 billion released in 2023, EUR 30 billion expected in 2025 and 2026);
- 3.8% growth expected in 2025;
- One of Europe’s most dynamic markets in the construction sector.
