Once you have found an appropriate location, you will then need to find the financial resources required for the relevant purchase, rental, or performance of transformation works. Remember that there are a series of instruments available to help you.

The financing of the implementation

In terms of financing, you can make use of a range of interesting solutions: loans with preferential conditions, capital increase options, guarantees to facilitate access to classic bank financing, etc. You can find out more about these solutions in the "financing" section on this website.  

Remember that in certain cases, you can also apply for subsidies. These are funds that do not have to be repaid, unlike loans. They are granted by different public authorities if you meet certain conditions. These conditions may relate to the company or to a specific project, and differ from subsidy to subsidy. Here are a few examples:

Premium for purchases and works

For the purchase or construction of a building, Brussels SMEs may request regional investment aid. In certain cases, this aid may amount to up to 30% of the investment amount agreed.  

Environmental subsidies

If you pay particular attention to the environment and, as an employer, make additional efforts in this respect, you may be able to benefit from environmental subsidies or environmental incentives. 

Consultancy grant

If you need advice from a consultant, or if you need to carry out a feasibility study prior to the execution of certain works, you may be eligible for a consultancy grant. This grant may amount to a maximum of 50% of the fees due for this intervention.  

Opensoon

If the project meets certain conditions, traders setting up in Brussels may apply for subsidies (renovation grants and business launch bonuses) awarded in the context of the OpenSoon project.
