La Cité des Métiers Brussels

La Cité des Métiers is a unique space where anyone looking for information on the manifold opportunities in studies, training, jobs, entrepreneurship and mobility can go for advice and orientation.

La Cité des Métiers offers:

• A search area: the public can come in and sit down at one of the 45 computers or 20 tablets, look up and consult documentation, work on their CV, carry out online searches, use software and take orientation tests or watch videos about professions
• Individual interviews: each visitor can obtain a confidential interview with a consultant
• A varied programme of collective and individual activities: On the website and in the brochures published quarterly, the public will be able to check the agenda of activities. Very regularly, information sessions will be held on professions or sectors of activity, on professions with job opportunities, on employment and training measures (sandwich courses, apprenticeships, validation of competences, UAE, etc.). Workshops on orientation, help in identifying his skills and his vocational conversion, the preparation of a CV will also be organised, as well as conferences, forums and meetings with professionals, etc.

The launch of La Cité des Métiers fits into the Brussels government's 2025 strategy, which aims not only to create a shared space for training, employment and education actors, but also to develop a unique information desk where more personalised advice is central.

The three project leaders are Actiris, Bruxelles Formation and the VDAB Brussels.
