The mission of the Local Economy Office North-West (LEONW) is to encourage all economic initiatives in Brussels and to contribute to the economic revitalisation of North-West Brussels.
LEONW offers you free support in setting up and developing your business, whether you are a jobseeker, employee or self-employed.
Services for project leaders
- Free advice, information and support at every stage of the business start-up project.
- Help with the development and realisation of the idea and project.
- Analysis of the fit between the project and the entrepreneur. Assessment of the feasibility of the project, including assistance with drawing up a business plan.
- Search for potential funding, such as loans, grants and scholarships.
- Advice on the choice of legal structure for the business.
- Basic information on the tax aspects of the project. Approval in the process of obtaining the Actiris grant for project leaders.
Services for existing businesses
- Support in all areas of business management once the company has been set up.
- Cash-flow research.
- Solving problems relating to VAT, ONSS, etc.
- Assistance in obtaining public grants and subsidies.
- Advice on changing the business model.
- Management advice to improve business performance.
- Support for the development of existing businesses as part of the region's economic transition.

LEO's services are aimed at anyone wishing to set up a business in Brussels and all entrepreneurs in the Region.
There are no eligibility criteria. Anyone may be accompanied by a LEO, provided that they wish to establish or have established either their registered office in the Brussels-Capital Region or their place of business in the Brussels-Capital Region.
