What is the Proxi loan?
The Proxi loan uses the savings of private individuals, often referred to as the 3Fs (Family, Friends and Fools), to finance the activities of self-employed people or SMEs in Brussels.
By granting this loan, the private lender can enjoy a tax benefit in the form of an annual tax credit: this tax benefit is 4% per year for the first three years, followed by 2.5% for the remaining years. If applicable, and under certain conditions, they can also receive a one-off tax credit of 30% if, for example, the financed company goes bankrupt.
