A new €2,000 allowance is now available to support non-profit cultural and creative companies which were not able to benefit from other measures. If you meet the criteria, you can submit an allowance application until 15 July 2020.
Full information about the compensatory allowance is available on the following website: www.primecovid.brussels
The application can be submitted via this page from Wednesday 24 June through 15 July 2020
The allowance is available to all Brussels-based cultural and creative sector companies registered as a non-profit with a NACE code included in the list and maximum five full-time equivalent (FTE) employees.
Here are the four conditions which companies must meet:
- have at least one place of business in the Brussels-Capital Region;
- be impacted by the crisis caused by COVID-19 resulting in lost income affecting annual revenue and the ability to meet fixed costs;
- have not initiated bankruptcy or liquidation proceedings prior to March 2020;
- have no profits carried over or reserves which have not been allocated to the 2019 balance sheet in excess of €2,000.
The allowance will be granted at the express request of the company to Bruxelles Économie Emploi.
The allowance is only granted once to any applicant and cannot be in addition to another allowance from the Brussels-Capital Region, Flanders or Wallonia within the context of the COVID crisis or resources provided by the emergency funds of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, of the Flemish Community or of the German-speaking community.
Reminder: A company cannot be granted more than €200,000 of “de minimis” aid over the course of the current fiscal year and for the previous two tax years pursuant to Commission Regulation (EU) No. 1407/2013 of 18 December 2013.
The allowance application must be submitted by 15 July 2020 at the latest
